Kousa

Hi everyone. This kousa (least I think it is) is about 4 years old. I thought it was going to be a tree, but it's like a shrub. I thought maybe if I pruned the lower branches off it might look a bit more tree-like, but the Internet advise is confusing. Some sites say prune in winter, some say spring and some say not to prune at all!! Also I would love to know which variety it is. Any advise would be much appreciated x
