This root has come under the fence from next door.
Our neighbours ‘s decking abuts the fence & she only has 2cordylines about10’ away.
Can you identify it, please?

I also suspect it could be a root from the cordyline.

It is quite possible that the roots are from the Cordyline, if the roots under the decking are in the dark. The roots think they are still in the soil under the ground until they search for the light.
