Can anyone recommend a"General Fertiliser"

Really depends what you are feeding, but the 'general fertiliser i would use would be blood, fish, and bone, and a good mulch of organic matter, like my home brew compost. would say that would keep most things happy. but if you are talking about acid lovers such as Rhododenrons, Camelia ect then although in my experince they do still benefit from what i have saggested, if you don't have acid soil then then it is best to give them a little extra, you can get pupose made fertilisers for these plants.

You say general fertiliser. We on the council use Blood fish and bone for our bedding plants and used to use Growmore in pellet form but i think the blood fish and bone works a little faster. But it only works for about 5 or 6 weeks. Depends what your using it on.
