Roses and blackspot

I'm using Rose Spray to combat the blackspot fungus which is everywhere in my garden, although it is not as bad as my neighbours. Has anyone tried using sulphite chips, and do they work? Or is there some other idea for combating this annoyance.

i'm having the same proplem Kay, i would imagine it has everything to do with all the rain we are having. all i have done is removed any infected leaves and stems and keep on spraying, i use multi rose which also sorts out green fly and powdery mildew - well on a normal basis it does, its an ongoing battle though this year.
