Most modern African Violets try to bloom year-round, but are usually most successful when the room temperatures are below 24 deg. C, and above16 deg. If it heats up too much in the summer, they may decide to take a vacation until fall. While they aren't blooming, go ahead and keep watering and feeding as normal--they will store energy that will show up as greater plant size, and more bloom in the fall.
