I have a blackberry which has been slow growing and is now in its 3rd season. This is the first year it has made real growth and I have tied the canes to wires as instructed. Unfortunately it has borne no flowers and therefore no fruit. Should I cut back the canes or leave them to fruit next season? An identical blackberry planted adjacent has fruited sucessfully. Your advice would be appreciated.

Sounds a bit odd! Have you been treating them the same way? It maybe best to leave the un fruited cane too see if it fruits next year. Im not sure if Blackberries fruit on last years wood, or in growth made the same year. What is its name?
