it comes in different colours. I've got a sort of pinky orange and a pure white one.

Hazeyboo, Thank you. I have seen them in other colours. I was presuming the one in my photo was orange but I can only find red ones!

I think it's a flowering Quince/Chaenomeles shrub. Quite thorny and likes full sun.
