I have been growing lupins from seed and they have the white powder on them. You seem to have some answers. What I am wondering is can I plant them outside now at the end of October or is it better to leave them in a cold greenhouse?

Thank you for that. I am not feeding my very healthy slugs and snails. As for vine weevils I seem to be really good at breeding them.

Oh dear! Try tipping them out of their pots and pick off the little 'c' shaped larvae that are in the compost.

It's probably best to keep them in their pots til spring. Slugs and snails love to munch them and they may 'disappear' over winter in the garden.
