Happy New Year and Good Morning. Here is my problem.
During the high winds we lost 3 fence panels and during the night about 60 sheep got into our garden. Their hoofs devastated the lawns, leaving deep prints and loads of deep scuffs. What do I do ?? I have thought about rolling it,but the consensus seems to be not to,as it will cause more damage. At 83 I think it might damage me too !!
I would appreciate any advice, Best Regards

happy New Year.

That is such a shame. I'd be tempted to use a fork at the furthest point away from the house. walk backwards and gently fork the dip up to even it out. then dont walk on it until the ground is nicely dried out.
Rolling it, even if you could/wanted to, would compress the soil all over and lead to drainage problems possibly.

Not the nicest way to start the new year.
Agree with Seaburn.
When that happened to us with cows which have even bigger feet, I filled the marks with soil and let the grass grow through. Never was really level but better than nothing.
