Lifting an Acer in February
We are selling our house and I have been lifting a few things just now to take with us to our new home (when we find one!).
I planted a young acer Katsura last year and wanted to lift this also. It has early small buds on it and when I placed a fork around and below it, I was a little surprised at the resistance I was noticing. It has clearly made more root development than I expected in its first year.
Any thoughts on whether it would be safe to goo ahead and lift this acer? It is around 1- 1.5m tall.
