A few years ago I had a beautiful Anthurium. However, when I repotted it in basic compost the three babies and the mother plant all gradually died one by one. I never knew why. Recently I bought a new one which I’m determined to keep.

My question is when it eventually needs repotting what compost should I use?

the one we repotted 5 yrs ago had a 50:50 mix with perlite to keep the compost 'open'. that one is now living happily [i hope] with our youngest in Norfolk.
