Name this flower from description.
Unable to load mobile with photo so please , it is a 3 petalled purple flower with 7white stamens approx about 1,1/2 inches across , leaves are 6 inch long and narrow , about 6 leaves to a stalk. Is it a weed or could it be stray bird feed that has come to life?

3 petalled purple flower ? Maybe a Tradescantia, commonly known as spiderwort?

Hi Klahanie and Seaburngirl.
Thankyou both so much for your response and Klahanie on the other side of the pond, in Canada ,I think your assumption is absolutely right , Tradiscantia. I have checked many pics , could not find the deep purple but leaf formation and petal lay out is right. Seaburn girl , hallo again after a few years away from GYO , if it is a weed , I like it.
Thanks both much appreciated , I hope to be back reading all these lovely letters again.
