i have had to throw away all of my quinces this year.
they were picked this week
the skin looked fine but neath the flesh was brown.

Have looked at Fabraea maculata but its not that, I think I must have left them on the tree to long. Next year I will pick them mid to end of Sept and ripen them in the shed on trays.

The only thing I can find is Quince Fleck which is a kind of rust. Google Fabraea maculata and see if that is it. Otherwise sometimes proper Quince does have these brown areas within the fruit, but they disappear on cooking and do not seem to affect the taste.
