Can i grow ivy together with a climing rose?
I'm looking for something to grow alongside the climbing rose over a trellis

I think that you are right, Kenny. The ivy would attach itself to the rose and choke it.

I agree the ivy would rapidly strangle the rose...

Clematis would be a much better option. You could extend the flowering season by choosing different ones for each side of the rose.

i dont think that i would try it myself if you put ivy with a rose i think the ivy would over take it and strangle it in time.but that is only me.wait till other members answers the question.
