I see that you are from South Africa, Guest, so it is now equivalent to April in the northern hemisphere and you will have planted summer flowering bulbs in containers, right? Hope so as a guest cannot comment on the answeres.
I would start them off with a good soak as soon as they are planted and then let the pot almost dry out but keep it just moist until the bulbs start to show. Then increase the watering as they grow larger.
