Keep dead-heading it while it's in flower through the summer, so that new flowers are encouraged, then cut them off once the flowers have completely finished, unless you like the 'look' of the seedheads. Cut the finished stems to the base of the plant when you see new growth starting in the spring. I leave the top growth on to protect the plants in the winter.
