I have some blue agapanthus which I planted in the garden in "bottomless" plastic pots. How do I overwinter them - do they need lifting?
I also have some oriental lillies in platic pots. Again, how do I overwinter them.
Both the agapanthus and lillies bloomed spectacularly during the summer.
Advice very much appreciated.

Depending on which variety of Agapanthus you have, you may need to remove to a greenhouse, or they can be left in the ground. A. africanus is tender, for instance, but the Headbourne Hybrids are hardy. Same applies to lilies - the majority of them are fully hardy and will be fine left outside all winter.
