Can you suggest an appropriate apple and pear tree to train along the easterly side of a 3' by 50' fence which runs north - south?

3 feet high probably isn't high enough, but if you want more info, check out Keepers Nursery website - they're fruit specialists, have lots of info about rootstocks, training, and supply various fruit trees already partially trained as espalier, fan or cordons.
