hello again, i need some help.. my sister gave me an orchid in may when she came for a visit... this week all the flowers fell off, should i throw it out?, or can it be saved, ive not had an orchid before so any advice would be welcome thanks ..... ellise

Yes, do as Spritzhenry advises and you will find that they are not difficult plants to keep.
May to November, six months flowering is good value for money - yes? Mg just buys orchids now rather than cut flowers - we do have a housefull but they are most attractive and great value.

Hi Ellise - no, don't throw it out. Cut the flowered stem back to just above the bottom little scale you'll see down the stem. In a few weeks, you should see another stem growing, either from there, or from between the leaves.
