I have, a nice full artemesia. Last year I trimmed it back in autumn and it came out nice. This year, after reading books I've left it full, only the frost is taking its toll on it. Should I cut it back now, or leave it a bit and cut it back in the spring. The same for my acanthus mollis - nice leaves but its being destroyed by the frost - cut it back now, or leave it? Thank you

I'd leave them as the old foliage will off further frost/snow protection. My acanthis looked horrid but it has given me lovey new growth this year.

Agree with Seaburngirl - touch nothing, wait till this ghastly winter is over and done with.

Yes. Definitely leave the Artemisia til spring. The Acanthus could be trimmed back if it looks unsightly. It's very difficult to kill!

Thank you, doesn't sound like I've not got too much to worry about.

How do I say thanks?
