These sure are pretty with a fluffy center. They're on a bush and low to the ground. Any help appreciated.

Get that Buttercup out, Harli, before it creeps everywhere! I can see it, my eagle eyes are everywhere! LOL.

Yikes! Spritzhenry, where is the buttercup? I take it you're saying it's a weed?

Yes it is! Look for the leaves that don't belong to your Hypericum, scrabble around a bit and Hey Presto! There is the Buttercup! Dig it out to make sure you get all the roots and it has the habit of sending out runners, too - so follow them and dig again. I do believe I can spot seed heads on it too - so be quick or they'll be everywhere.

I shall dig it up tomorrow post haste. I'm learning that most weeds are stronger than the plants for goodness sake.
We have one weed making me crazy because it has tiny seeds that stick to you like velcro, and they get all over my dog. However, it pulls up easy with all the roots.

Spritzhenry ~ What kind of dog do you have. We have a male longhair dachshund who is the love of my life and doesn't realize he isn't human. I'll see if I can post
a picture...

I guess you'll have to put the picture address in your search to see it. Here is a picture of my grandson..

Harli - I saw the photo of your grandson (mine is blond, too!) but the doggy one won't open! You will have seen my Henry on my 'avatar'. He's a Labrador Retriever and completely soppy! He often appears in my garden photos because he's nosy and follows me round to see what I'm doing!

Try this link. I tried sending the picture through an image source and it didn't work in here, but this is the basic url.
Lots of blue eyed blondes in my family. Lots of Scandanavian in our bloodline. I love your dog, they make the best buddies. Rusty follows me everywhere, and has licked away many a tear when my sister died on Thanksgiving. Pets really make life better.

It's called Hypericum - Rose of Sharon. There are several diferent varieties. Maybe someone else could help you there.
