I have planted some Hedera colchica 'Dentata Variegata' and believe that it prefers alkaline soil. My soil is neutral and I wonder if anyone could suggest a top dressing I could use to give it a bit more alkalinity in this area.

It tolerates alkaline soil quite well, but doesn't require it.

First time I've heard it suggested it prefers alkaline conditions. I've grown it here on neutral to acid and, as expected, it grew large enough to require a machete in no time at all, so I'm not at all convinced it needs any particular Ph.
