Broad beans and carrots under poly tunnels - where I have planted several weeks ago looks dry is it ok to water even though no sign of life yet??

The compost for seeds should not be allowed to dry out, Lg, it should be moist, not wet, at all times. Seeds start into life by putting down roots before any top growth emerges and you don't see these.
