i have always looked in terms oif pruning my roses during a frost free period in the last week of february to the first week of march. any reaction to that in this age of global warming?
question 2.
i have a small stipa that has a pronounced tendancy to self seed. am toying with the idea of buying stipa gigantea. does anybody have any knowledge of that stipa self seeding?

In regards to roses, i tend to do mine and people gardens i work in any time between january and february. They haven't been damaged by frosts. It hink leaving it to late, the plant goes to the effort of producing shoots that then get removed.
Not sure about Stipa gigantea, but i would imagine that it would, but not sure...
