my hubby accidently loped off a big top half of my climbing honeysuckle and thinks it will take root and grow if he replants it there is a lot of young green leaves. but dont think you can do much about it please help.

I'm sure the lower part of the honeysuckle will regrow pretty quickly Jennie.
You've got nothing to lose if you take some cuttings off the bit he lopped and keep them on a windowsill, but the remnant in the ground will get going again soon.
