geraniums.

i have three geraniums in a large planter. the leaves look like
string vests. what is causing this. i havent seen any wee beasties on them. help!!!!!

Scousemonk, we used to plant about 3000 Geraniums, and sometimes they were attacked by a caterpillar that would do the same as yours. I could find them in August but in September they had gone into the soil to pupate. Try looking in the soil for the pupae which are a reddish orange colour. The adult moth is the Large yellow underwing. I have also seen a smaller green caterpillar that did the same. Good hunting
