Anything that's strong enough to hold them up: baling wire, especially the aluminum kind, probably won't do it. I use coated clothesline wire for my grapes, but galvanized Fence wire will probably be cheaper.

Hi Warner and welcome to GoY, so far as I am aware there is no specific wire. We use sturdy posts and any wire that comes to hand that is free or cheap and sturdy enough to support the canes. Himself seems to think the last lot we did have galvanised fencing wire...
