Not sure about pruning, would have thought it might be a problem but Bluespruce our resident expert will be able to tell you. Eventual height is 50 - 80 foot with a spread of 25 - 35 foot. It really is a statement or feature tree not one to be planted as part of a group and needs good sun.

It will spread to the dimensions given by Moon Growe. If you want to keep it compact, put it in a large, strong plant pot. This can be planted underground, so you do not see it.

I have kept a blue spruce small like this for a few years now. You will need to feed it if kept this way and water if the soil gets dry.
