I have 2 Crinodendron about 7 years old. This winter may have killed them off. The leaves are now brown and look dead. Are the shrubs likely to recover in the Spring.

Hi Philip and welcome to GoY. Our Crinodendron had to be cut back to the ground in late spring of 2010 as all the top growth was totally dead. By autumn it had grow about a foot but the severe weather has knocked it back again. The only thing to do really is wait for a couple more months and see if it starts to leaf up. If it doesn't prune back to live wood - even if that means you cut it down to the ground.

How do I say thanks?
