Sedum album is taking over my garden

White stonecrop (Sedum album) is taking over my garden! Help! I scoop it up by the bucketload, but still it appears. And the real problem is - what do I do with the stuff I remove? I'm sure that if I put it in the composter it will survive and spread. It's too cold and wet to spread it out somewhere to dry out and cook - and it's equipped to survive being dried out anyway. So how do I dispose of it? Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply Bulbaholic. At the moment I throw it over the fence into the wilderness, whence it came. I suspected there wouldn't be a magic answer, but live in hope...

Hi Beattie, join the club - we have a job for life !!!!
This sedum can be a nuisance, but doesn't it look nice when its in flower. We keep hauling it out but every little bit that you miss will grow again. We don't put ours in the garden compost bin but either put it in the rubbish bin or in the green waste recycling
