id say the same dawn but play it bye eye to . its the growing tip is vulnrable to freezing and because there very fleshy / waterfilled they freeze killing the tips .in this case id say better late than early realy . if you cover them like you can over winter with the leaves then its easy to check as the new shoots will actualy grow through the deaD ONES WHICH IS PERFECT .

Hello Leigh My Friend, hope you're well. Yes, daughter is still doing her graphic design degree and a bit of freelance work, like designing a website for a company :-) All good.
Re the gunnera - To be honest, even when careful, a few of my first leaves of the season usually get a brown tinge around the edge due to the cold but as the plants grow bigger year by year, you get so many leaves you hardly notice any damaged ones.

Depends on what you have covered it with Da. We put the old leaves over the crown in winter and just leave them alone. The new growth pushes through when it is ready.

Same here Bulb, I just bend the leaves over the crown too, had mine 10 years so must be doing something right :-)
