Lysichiton americanus. Skunk Cabbage and not native to Britain and very invasive.

Yes, I just remembered Skunk Cabbage! I would never have got to Lysichiton though! I first saw this beside a natural stream in Dundee. I had assumed it was native, so interested to know it is not. You see it all over the place up here!

Yes, Owdboggy. A native of western North America and a garden escapee. It can be a real nuisance in the wild.

Hi guys. I like it but struggling to get it established here. On my pond marginals in rich soil too, plenty of space for it to roam but would think the frosts are too much for it. The plants aren't cheap to buy either so grown some from seed but the Winter hasnt been kind to the young plnts I kept on the greenhouse over Winter.

Yes, its a bog lily sue. Sorry don't know the real name but aren't they lovely? One of the first flowers of spring.
