All my nerine bulbs have come to the surface, any advice on what to do with them?

Nerines do prefer to have their noses just at or above the soil surface - is that what you mean? If so, that's OK. However, if they are lying on the surface, could something have dug them up? I think I'd replant them if so. They obviously can't stay out of the ground completely - they still have their leaves to produce.

They like to be baked so don't plant anything that will overshadow them or they won't flower well.

I've found that big clumps lever themselves quite a long way up. If they get REALLY overcrowded I take newer bulbs from the edge and replant, but they do like company so put them close together.

That's what Nerine bulbs seem to like, to be on the surface. I have an old and thriving clump of Nerine and they are all on the surface. They survived last winter and bloomed really well and look OK still after this last bout in the freezer. Apparently they do not like to be disturbed. So leave them to it and let them have their way Jcorson.
