Betony query

I'd like to add some Betony to my little plot, mainly for the insect population. I know it likes a woodland edge, so some shade should be ok but will it be happy in clay? Any other tips would be welcome too. I see that Spritz and Rydeboyz have some and they look gorgeous.

well i have some in a clayish soil and it is happy. most of y garden is semi shade too. so give it a go.
