I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A JASMINE HOOP FROM HOMEBASE. I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS AN INDOOR PLANT OR OUTDOOR. I WANTED A PLANT TO PUT IN THE GARDEN. IT IS ALREADY STARTING TO BLOOM AND HAS LITTE WHITE FLOWERS. IF I PLANT IT OUT WHEN IT WARMS UP WILL IT SURVIVE THE WINTER.

The scent is absolutely gorgeous. I had one, but it ended up outside and died. I loved the fragrace they gave off. No need for an aerosol air freshener. Just let the jasmine give you a natural one.

I have also bought the hoop from Homebase. Bought it for indoors (like Alex said - no need for air freshener!)
If you want some different varieties of Jasmine, perhaps a bit more hardy try this seller - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/plantman26/m.html?_nkw=jasmine&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m270.l1313
Prices are reasonable and good quality plants...

These are meant to be used as houseplants - the usual one on sale is Jasminum polyanthum, which has pink flushed buds towards the base but opens white. This plant is not hardy - however, here in London, they do survive winters outside if planted against a south facing wall in a sheltered spot. Though they didn't survive last year's winter, obviously - even hardy things were hit by that. Suggest you keep it indoors till mid May - enjoy the flowers and the scent inside and then, if you want to and you have a suitable spot, plant it outside - remove the hoop when you do and place the topgrowth against a support (trellis or clematis netting) behind the plant. Worth a try, I'd have thought - if we have a mild winter this year and its in a sheltered spot, it might survive.
