Spring bulbs and the frost will fleece help?
I have loads of burgeoning bulbs, some could be tulips and lots of mini narcissi all some way off flowering. Some are in bulb bowls and lots in the ground. We are forecasting -7oC boooooo - will they survive ok or should I cover them up?

I've always been amazed how tough bulbs are. Crocus flowers sometimes look a bit glum after hard weather and daffodils tend to lie down and sulk in very heavy wind and rain, but if the flowers aren't out you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks both, I think I'd be less of a fuss pot if I knew what was growing, but I need the flowers to identify what is in my garden. Fingers crossed the forecast isn't as bad as it is threatening.

We don't cover ours, Pam. The frost is not a problem but a few inches of heavy, wet snow can spoil the flowers. There is nothing that you can do, really. But hey, we live in Scotland and weather happens. The bulbs will come back next year :-)
