do i need to prune/ cut back my year old Genista Lydia plant?
You need to give it a very light trim after it has flowered. Just trim off the ends of the flowered shoots, this will stop it getting too leggy and woody at the base. It doesn't like to be pruned into the brown wood, so just trim the green parts.
