last year i had peacock orchids in a pot when they finished flowering the leaves died down so i cut them and later pulled them up stored them in the shed the little bit of leaves left have gone brown and got black spots on them should i repot or throw

The little bits of leaves having spots means nothing - if the corms are still firm and look healthy, remove the old foliage and pot them up. However, if you did not feed the plants whilst they were in leaf, the results may be variable this year in terms of flowering, but still worth a try.
