United Kingdom
I have a large palm in our UK garden outside. Around 12 foot tall, prob around 30 years old
Due to the bad winter, its suffered and its leaves are dropping, plus the trunk is leaking a orange like sap.
Could someone advise any treatments to help it recover?
Thanks
Mike

No special treatments I'm afraid - if its leaking orange stuff at this stage, you will need to cut back down beyond the rotting area, but if you want to give the plant the best chance of recovery, this is best left till April. Once you've cut it down, it may shoot new growth from whatever stem is left, or from the base. This assumes your palm is actually Cordyline australis.
