i have noticed that some of my fuchsia plants are starting to loose some of there leaves is this ok for this time of year

Yes Arthur this is now there rest time.
You can also take tip cuttings .
And time to cut back on water once all leaves are shead prune back.
I started to do this a few weeks ago and now have new growth again.
