i have been given some begonias which way up do i plant them. they have a hollow on one side ?

When in doubt, you can always plant them on their side. The shoot will always grow up and the root will always grow down

Hi Colinda, hollow side up, just rest them on some compost, have they started shooting ? dont cover them with compost. The compost should just be a bit damp, if you have some were dark and warm to start them off, but dont for get them. Good luck. Les
