how do i care for clementis. i have new shoots showing, do i prune back old stems?

Well in theory it is Louise, but the viticella group ones could still be done now, though it would check their growth and they'd flower a little late.

Depends which clematis you have - the pruning requirements vary between varieties, so do you know what variety you've got?
