Why won't my magnolia flowers open.They are fuchia pink and healthy but they remain unopened.The magnolia is about six years old always flowers in abundance but never open.

Mary - do you know what variety of Magnolia you are growing?
Some varieties have flowers that remain very upright and vase-shaped, and never fully open.
If the buds are forming OK but the flowers not developing (which is a different issue) then they may be being frosted in the bud, something that many Magnolias are highly susceptible to.
