I have a olearia macrodonta (daisy bush) which is well established (don't known how old it is) but alot of it leaves have dropped off this year - any suggestions to what is wrong or if this is normal?

It was the cold winter Connie. Evergreens are always using and losing water through their leaves. When the gorund is frozen, dropping leaves is the plant's way of trying to survive. Hopefully, when things have warmed up again, it will grow new ones
