can i grow a camellia in a pot, if so ,what size is best?

Yes definitely , my mum has one that my grandma had before her that is now over 10 feet tall and has been in the same 10 litre ( i think) pot since it was planted, had has even had to be "restrained"a bit. Still puts on a good show. Need to make sure it gets watered enough and as spritzhenry says use ericaeous compost

I have one in a pot.
The pot needs to be at least 2 feet diameter and the same tall because this is a large shrub and its roots will need to do as they would in the ground, e.g. spread.

Yes, a big pot! Make sure you use ericaeous compost, too.
