I grew some Japanese Quince plants from seeds from one of the shrub's fruits some five years ago. The plants are fine but they have never flowered. Are they likely to or shall I dig them up?

You could give them a good dose of sulphate of potash and leave them another couple of years before giving up - depends on whether you can afford the space. this might be your lucky year!
