I pruned a shute last minuteon my acer and it is still weeping sap how can I stop it

It will stop weeping/leaking sap eventually. BUT this is not the time of year to prune an Acer needs to be done earlier or in late autumn. Once the sap is up into the tree it will bleed if cut.
