I have recently bought a lovely young cryptomeria sekkan sugi. I want something evergreen as my garden looked dire this winter. I know it will grow large, and wondered if I could put it in a large container and sink it into the ground, and if so, for how many years?

Ok Bamboo, on your head be it. I have read differing sizes. If it gets too big, it will be your fault and you'll have to dig it up for me:-))

Hee hee, I'll either be in my grave or in a home by the time that happens, lol!

Ultimate height and spread is only 3 metres by 2 metres, so it's not a huge plant - it's also very slow growing, so plant it in the ground properly.
