Not usually done, assuming you mean temporary bedding.

Pansies and primroses

Primroses don't need anything special, just the usual feed when you turn the soil over in the spring (Vitax Q4, Growmore, whatever you usually use).

Thanx thats great i have some growmore but i don't usually put it in until the summer bedding plants go in. This is my first year for having spring bedding plants. Most of my bedding plants are in tubs and pots as the rest of the garden is grass for the children to play on, patio for the bbq and the only remaining space is for my fruit and veg! I shall away out there today and put some growmore in.
