what would you do?
This paeony rubra has been buried, when I first planted it 10yrs ago. Over time the soil has eroded away and before winter I was going to cover it up. Then it snowed and froze. so when I saw it growing i was amazed.
so do I cover it or leave it?

Got a few like that, I just ignore them and let them get on with it.

The peony looks to be quite happy as it is. You could give it a covering of soil in the autumn if you wish.

I'll leave it alone then. I wont be splitting it as I have plenty of clumps and I do like them 'en mass'.

Hi seaburngirl, have tackled this many times, you can cover it for now and seperate from the parent plant at the backend. however i have carried out this process to good effect during spring and summer, but if unsure do it later.
